NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) DGM and AM Recruitment 2026 — 46 Posts

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., is working in the renewable power and hydrogen generation business with a target to reach 60 GW installed capacity by 2032. NGEL is looking for experienced professionals for its Corporate, Station, Site, Cluster, JV and subsidiary locations across India. This recruitment covers 4 posts across 2 domains — Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, BESS) and Finance — at two seniority levels (E-6 DGM and E-2 AM). Preference will be given to candidates with RE Developer company experience. All selected candidates will be on regular rolls of NGEL with transferable postings anywhere in India.

DGM-Finance and AM-Finance (2 posts each): UR-02 for each post. PwBD vacancies as per Govt. guidelines.

Who Can Apply?

For DGM — Renewable Energy (E-6 Grade)

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or B.S. in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical Instrumentation & Control, Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, or Electronics & Communication — with minimum 60% marks from a recognised university/institution.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience, of which at least 10 years must be in Renewable Energy (Solar and/or Wind and/or BESS).
• For Govt/PSU candidates: Minimum 2 years experience in a scale of Rs. 80,000–2,20,000 or above (IDA E-5 Grade or equivalent DPE scale effective 01-01-2017) out of the 12 years. NOC from current employer required.
• For Private Sector candidates: Form-16 of Income Tax Return for the last 3 financial years required.

For Assistant Manager — Renewable Energy (E-2 Grade)

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or B.S. in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical Instrumentation & Control, Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, or Electronics & Communication — with minimum 60% marks from a recognised university/institution.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Renewable Energy (Solar and/or Wind and/or BESS).
• For Govt/PSU candidates: Minimum 2 years experience in a scale of Rs. 40,000–1,40,000 or above (IDA E-1 Grade or equivalent DPE scale effective 01-01-2017) out of the 3 years. NOC required.
• For Private Sector candidates: Form-16 for the last 3 financial years required.

For DGM — Finance (E-6 Grade)

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) from a statutory authority recognised in India.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience in Finance/Accounts, of which at least 10 years in Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind/BESS).
• For Govt/PSU candidates: Same pay scale criteria as DGM-RE. NOC required.

For Assistant Manager — Finance (E-2 Grade)

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) from a statutory authority recognised in India.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Finance/Accounts in the field of Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind/BESS).
• For Govt/PSU candidates: Same pay scale criteria as AM-RE. NOC required.

Note: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need only pass marks in the qualifying degree. Age and experience are computed as on the last date of application (05.05.2026).

Age Limit

• DGM posts (E-6): Maximum 44 years
• AM posts (E-2): Maximum 30 years
• Age is calculated as on the last date of receipt of online applications: 05 May 2026.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation
• OBC candidates: 3 years relaxation
• PwBD candidates: 10 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: as per Central Govt. guidelines

Salary

• DGM (E-6 Grade): IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 90,000 – Rs. 2,40,000 per month (w.e.f. 01.01.2017)
• AM (E-2 Grade): IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 1,60,000 per month (w.e.f. 01.01.2017)
• Plus DA, HRA, Perks and other allowances as per NGEL/NTPC IDA pay rules.

Selection Process

NGEL may conduct a multi-stage selection process depending on the number of applicants:

1. Application Shortlisting: Based on qualification percentage, marks, and years of relevant experience.
2. Written Test / Group Discussion / Interview: One or a combination of these stages may be conducted at the management's discretion.
3. Medical Examination: All selected candidates must pass a medical fitness test at a government hospital (minimum district hospital level) before joining. No relaxation in prescribed health standards.
4. Document Verification: Original documents must be verified before final appointment.
