National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has released contractual faculty recruitment for its Nagpur and Raipur campuses. The vacancies are in the School of Forensic Sciences and the School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics. Selection is mainly through interview, with document verification and possible screening if the university receives many applications.

Who Can Apply?

For School of Forensic Sciences

• Assistant Professor: You need a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree, with minimum 60% or equivalent marks.
• Relevant Master's Areas: M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Physics, Ballistics, Biology, Chemistry, Toxicology, Fingerprint, or Questioned Document can apply for matching fields.
• Other Relevant Master's Areas: First class Master's degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Human Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline can be considered.
• Desirable: Experience in Forensic Science or relevant field and one SCI journal publication are preferred.

For School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics

• Assistant Professor: You need a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree, with minimum 60% or equivalent marks.
• Relevant Degrees: M.Sc., MCA, M.E., or M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Security, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Cyber Forensics, Network Technology, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT Security, or a relevant discipline can apply for matching fields.
• Desirable: Experience in Cyber Security or a relevant area and one SCI journal publication are preferred.

Lower Pay / Lecturer Option

• Assistant Professor Lower Pay: If a suitable Ph.D. candidate is not available, candidates with a relevant Master's degree, minimum first class or 60%, and NET in the relevant branch may be considered.
• Lecturer: Where NET is not conducted for the subject, or as per the notification conditions, candidates with a relevant Master's degree with minimum first class or 60% may be considered.

Salary

• Assistant Professor regular salary: Rs. 90,000 per month consolidated.
• Assistant Professor lower pay: Rs. 75,000 per month consolidated.
• Lecturer: Rs. 68,000 per month consolidated.
• The university may offer a lower pay position if it does not find a qualified and suitable candidate for the higher category.

Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 500
• SC / ST / PwD: Rs. 250
• Fee is non-refundable and applies per candidate, per domain or specialization, and per campus.
• If you apply for multiple specializations or campuses, the fee will be multiplied accordingly.

Selection Process

NFSU will conduct selection through interview and document checks. If the number of applications is large, the university may conduct a screening test.

1. Application Scrutiny: NFSU will check eligibility, qualification, specialization, and submitted details.
2. Interview: Interviews will be held at NFSU, IT Park, Subhash Nagar, Nagpur. Candidates should report at 10 AM.
3. Possible Screening Test: If many candidates apply, NFSU can conduct a screening test before interview.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates and two sets of self-attested photocopies must be produced at the time of interview.
