About This Job

North East Dairy & Foods Limited (NEDFL) is hiring an Assistant - Sales & Distribution (Ambient Segment) on a contract basis for 2 years. The recruitment is being conducted by West Assam Milk Producers' Co-operative Union Ltd (WAMUL), popularly known as Purabi Dairy, on behalf of NEDFL. You can earn a CTC of Rs. 4,55,000 per year including PF and other contributions. The last date to apply is 18 April 2026, and you need a graduation degree plus 1 year of sales experience in Dairy or FMCG.

NEDFL is a joint venture between the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and the Government of Assam, formed to drive dairy development across the state under the Assam Dairy Development Plan. WAMUL (Purabi Dairy), one of the largest dairy cooperatives in North East India with over Rs. 320 crore annual turnover, is handling this recruitment on NEDFL's behalf. Selected candidates will be placed on the rolls of NEDFL and posted at locations in Assam. This is a great opportunity for sales and distribution professionals in the FMCG or dairy sector to join a growing organization backed by NDDB.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Minimum qualification: Full-time Graduate in any discipline from a recognized Institute or University

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of full-time working experience in Sales & Distribution in Dairy or FMCG sector only
• Experience in other sectors will not be considered

Skills Required

• Good communication skills (pleasant and convincing)
• Must have a two-wheeler and an Android mobile handset
• Computer knowledge -- proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word for report preparation
• Result-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical skills, teamwork, and people management abilities
• Proficiency (read, write, speak) in any two of Assamese, Hindi, and English is mandatory

Other Conditions

• Candidates relieved from WAMUL/EAMUL/NEDFL within 6 months before the notification date are not eligible
• Candidates who applied for the same post within the last 6 months will not be considered
• Internal candidates (related to Purabi Dairy) must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned Group Head

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years as on 1 January 2026
• You must be born on or after 2 January 1996
• Age relaxation may be given for appropriate or outstanding candidates

Salary

• CTC: Rs. 4,55,000 per year (approximately Rs. 37,900 per month)
• This includes PF and other contributions
• Salary is negotiable and will depend on your qualification and experience
• Annual performance-based increment as per NEDFL's prevailing rules
• Paid leaves and holidays as per NEDFL policy
• TA/DA for authorized tours within operational areas as per NEDFL norms

Selection Process

2. Written Test -- Only candidates who clear document verification will take the written test.
3. Personal Interview -- Candidates who pass the written test will face a personal interview.

• Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the ambient segment products
• Carry out daily scheduled market visits and submit Daily Sales Reports (DSR) on time
• Achieve targeted distribution parameters and escalate issues as per instructions from supervisors
• Grow business volumes by visiting assigned market areas as per norms and identifying new outlets
• Identify and register retail outlets for regular service to meet demand within the desired timeframe
• Prepare and submit weekly Competitor Activity Reports in the given format
• Execute marketing activities and promotional campaigns in your assigned territory
• Monitor and follow up to maintain smooth stock flow and cash flow from assigned routes and distributors
