The Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (MIDC) is hiring 15 posts8 Assistant Managers and 7 Junior Assistants. MIDC, established in 1971, is the leading industrial development corporation under the Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Meghalaya. The corporation promotes industrial growth across the state from its headquarters in Shillong. Through Advertisement No. MIDC/GEN/542/2016/Pt.II/2296-2299 dated 27th February 2026, MIDC has invited online applications for 15 vacancies in two posts — Assistant Manager and Junior Assistant.

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Manager (8 posts)

There are two streams based on specialization:

  • Civil/Architecture stream (6 posts): B.E. (Civil) or equivalent to B.E. (Civil) and B.Arch. with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Finance stream (2 posts): MBA (Finance) / PGP (Finance) / PGDM (Finance) / M.Com from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in:
    1. Preparation and finalization of financial statements
    2. Loan appraisal and financial analysis
    3. Working knowledge of TDS compliance and GST return filing

For Junior Assistant (7 posts)

  • Degree from a recognized university or institution

You must be a genuine citizen of India to apply for these posts.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 32 years
  • Age calculated as on: 01 January 2026
  • SC/ST candidates: Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years (i.e., up to 37 years)

Salary

  • Assistant Manager: Pay Level 17 — Basic pay starts at Rs. 55,500 per month plus Dearness Allowance and other admissible allowances
  • Junior Assistant: Pay Level 9 — Basic pay starts at Rs. 32,200 per month plus Dearness Allowance and other admissible allowances

Both posts carry a probationary period — 1 year for Assistant Manager and 6 months for Junior Assistant. During probation, you will get a fixed salary.

The selection has 2 stages:

  2. Personal Interview

  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 80 marks
  • Basic Computer: 80 marks
  • Subject Paper (Engineering/Finance & Banking): 100 marks

Written Test for Junior Assistant (500 marks)

  • General English: 130 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning: 130 marks
  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 120 marks
  • Basic Computer: 120 marks

If you pass the written test, you will be called for the Personal Interview. You must bring all original documents during the interview — educational certificates, date of birth proof, caste/community certificate, and other required documents.

Responsibilities

  • Handle project planning, execution, and monitoring of industrial development projects assigned by the corporation
  • Prepare financial statements, project reports, and loan appraisal documents as required
  • Assist in processing loan applications and conducting financial analysis for industrial ventures
  • Manage day-to-day office administration, correspondence, and file management
  • Keep records of all project documentation, financial transactions, and office communications
  • Work with government departments and external agencies on industrial development schemes
  • Follow all rules, procedures, and guidelines issued by the corporation and the state government
  • Assist senior officers in implementing industrial development programmes across Meghalaya

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

B.E. (Civil) / B.Arch. / MBA (Finance) / M.Com for Assistant Manager; Degree for Junior Assistant

Preferred Qualification

MBA (Finance), PGP (Finance), PGDM (Finance) from recognized university for Finance stream

Required Skills

Financial analysis, TDS compliance, GST return filing for Finance posts; Civil engineering experience for Civil posts
