Who Can Apply?

You must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Manipur. You should be able to speak Manipuri or any of the notified Scheduled Tribe dialects of Manipur. Your qualifications depend on the post you are applying for:

Computer Operator

  • Qualification: Graduate in Science/Engineering + One-year Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application from a recognized University/Govt. of India recognized Institute

Stenographer Grade-III

  • Qualification: Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized University/Board
  • Shorthand speed: Not less than 80 words per minute (English)
  • Typing speed: Not less than 30 words per minute (English)

Mandol

  • Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University with knowledge of Manipuri and Hindi (Hindi knowledge is desirable)

Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

  • Qualification: Graduate + Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) covering DOS, MS Office, Multimedia and Internet from a Central/State recognized Institute

Driver (Light)

  • Qualification: Class-X pass / Matriculate / HSLC equivalent from a recognized Board/Institution
  • Must hold: Valid driving license for light motor vehicle

Lambu, Process Server, Peon/Chowkidar/Sweeper, Chainman

  • Qualification: Class-X pass / HSLC equivalent from a recognized Board/Institution

Age Limit

Age is calculated as on 1st February 2024.

  • Computer Operator & Mandol: Maximum 35 years
  • Stenographer Grade-III: Maximum 30 years
  • LDC, Driver, Lambu, Process Server, Peon/Chowkidar/Sweeper, Chainman: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 38 years (Driver minimum age is 21 years)
  • PwD candidates: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 38 years

Age relaxation:

  • SC/ST candidates: Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years
  • OBC candidates: Upper age limit relaxed by 3 years
  • PwD candidates: Upper age limit relaxed by 10 years
  • Govt. servants of Manipur: Relaxable to the extent of the period of continuous service, plus SC/ST relaxation where applicable
  • Ex-servicemen/retrenched personnel: As per Government instructions issued from time to time

Salary

Monthly salary is 50% of the 1st Cell in the Level of pay matrix under RoP-2019 (Manipur) as per FD (PIC) norms:

  • Computer Operator: Rs. 12,750 per month
  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Rs. 10,850 per month
  • Stenographer Grade-III: Rs. 9,950 per month
  • Mandol: Rs. 9,950 per month
  • Driver (Light): Rs. 9,950 per month
  • Lambu: Rs. 7,850 per month
  • Process Server: Rs. 7,850 per month
  • Peon/Chowkidar/Sweeper: Rs. 7,850 per month
  • Chainman: Rs. 7,850 per month

  • ST/SC/PwD: Rs. 500

Grade-IV Posts (Lambu, Process Server, Peon/Chowkidar/Sweeper, Chainman)

  • General & OBC: Rs. 500
  • ST/SC/PwD: Rs. 400

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination — Mode, schedule, scheme, and syllabus will be notified separately
  2. Skill Test — For Stenographer Grade-III (shorthand and typing test) and Computer Operator posts

Responsibilities

  • Handle land records, revenue documents, and related administrative work assigned by the department
  • Assist in survey, settlement, and land revenue collection activities across the district
  • Prepare and maintain official correspondence, reports, and data entry tasks
  • Manage filing, typing, and clerical duties as required for land administration
  • Work in coordination with Sub-Divisional Officers and SDC Circle offices
  • Follow all government rules and procedures related to land resources and revenue matters
  • Assist in court processes, summons delivery, and field verification work (for Process Server and Lambu posts)

Minimum Qualification

Class X / HSLC pass (for Grade-IV posts); Graduate with relevant skills (for Grade-III posts)

Preferred Qualification
