The Government of Andhra Pradesh, through the Department for Welfare of Differently Abled, Transgender and Senior Citizens, has launched this special drive under Notification No. 1/East Godavari/Combined/2026. This recruitment is exclusively for Differently Abled candidates from the erstwhile East Godavari District. The government extended this special recruitment drive till 31.03.2026 vide G.O.Ms.No.15. A total of 9 different posts are available across Group IV and Other than Group IV services.

Group IV Posts (Annexure-A) — 11 Vacancies

Other than Group IV Posts (Annexure-B) — 13 Vacancies

Grand Total: 24 vacancies across all disability categories — 7 VH (Blindness), 12 HH (Hard of Hearing), 2 OH (Locomotor Disability), 3 ASD/SLD/ID/MI/MD.

Who Can Apply?

This recruitment is only for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) with at least 40% disability certified by a medical authority. You must be a local candidate of erstwhile East Godavari District (as per district boundaries before 04.02.2022). Non-local candidates are not eligible.

Group IV Posts (Post Codes 001-003)

• Junior Office Assistant (001): Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university + Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) qualification
• Junior Accountant (002): Bachelor's Degree + Certificate in Office Automation / PC Maintenance / Web Designing from AP SBTET (OR) Degree in BCA/B.Sc(Computers)/B.Com(Computers)/B.A(Computers)/B.Tech-CS/IT + CPT qualification
• Junior Office Assistant - Typist (003): Bachelor's Degree + Higher Grade Typewriting in Telugu & English from AP SBTET (Lower Grade considered if Higher Grade not available) + CPT qualification

Other than Group IV Posts (Post Codes 004-009)

• Office Subordinate (004): VII Class pass + ability to ride a bicycle
• Sweeper (005): Ability to read and write Telugu or Urdu or Hindi
• Cleaner - Bus (006): VII Class pass + ability to read and write
• Night Watchman (007): V Class pass + ability to ride a bicycle
• PH Worker (008): Ability to read and write Telugu or Urdu or Hindi
• Sanitary Maistry (009): VII Class pass

You must hold a valid Employment Registration Card as per G.O.M.S.No.52, Labor Employment Training and Factories (EMP) Dept., dated 19.04.2012. You must also be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 52 years (42 years + 10 years relaxation for Differently Abled persons)
• Age calculated as on: 01.07.2026
• Age relaxation is as per Rule 12(v) of A.P.S.S.S.R., 1996 and G.O.Ms.No.109, GAD(Ser-A), dated 08.10.2025

Salary

• Group IV Posts (Post Codes 001, 002, 003): Rs. 25,220 — 80,910 per month (RPS-2022)
• Other than Group IV Posts (Post Codes 004-009): Rs. 20,000 — 61,960 per month (RPS-2022)
• Additional DA, HRA, and other allowances as applicable under AP State Government rules

Application Fee

Selection Process

Group IV Posts (Post Codes 001-003)

1. Merit-Based Selection: No written exam or interview. Selection is based purely on merit of marks obtained in the qualifying examination as per G.O.Ms.No.74, G.A. (Ser-A) Dept., dated 14.02.2007.
2. Document Verification: Verification of all original certificates and disability certificate (SADAREM).

Other than Group IV Posts (Post Codes 004-009)

Selection is based on 50 marks total:

1. Degree of Disability — 25 marks: Higher degree of disability gets more marks.
2. Age — 25 marks: Older candidates get preference.
3. Document Verification: Verification of all original certificates and SADAREM disability certificate.

In case of a tie: higher disability degree gets preference. If still tied, the older candidate is preferred. If age is also equal, the candidate with earlier educational qualification date is selected.

How to Apply

1. Download the application form from the official notification — use Appendix-A for Group IV posts and Appendix-B for Other than Group IV posts.
2. Fill the application form neatly on thick white paper.
3. Attach all required documents (listed below).
4. Submit in person or through your representative at the PGRS Hall, Collectorate, Kakinada, Kakinada District.
5. Submission timings: 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM during office hours.
6. Get a proper acknowledgement receipt after submission.
7. Applications by post, parcel, or any other mode will NOT be accepted.
8. If you want to apply for more than one post, submit separate applications for each post.
