NBSSLUP Young Professional Recruitment 2026: Overview

ICAR-National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning (ICAR-NBSS&LUP) is recruiting Young Professionals for its Division of Soil Resource Studies in Nagpur. This project engagement supports the Mission on Cotton Productivity through a study titled Deciphering the microbiome for biologicals to enhance soil and crop health. Your work will connect field sampling with laboratory analysis and the preparation of research outputs.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Young Professional-II: This role belongs to the soil and crop health project at the Nagpur division. The notice links the position to field, laboratory and analytical work within the same research programme.
  • Young Professional-I: This role also supports the soil resource study at Nagpur. The notice describes the same broad work areas for both professional levels, rather than separate projects or different posting centres.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Project tenure: The initial engagement lasts one year. An extension depends on your performance and the project requirement, and the position ends with the project.
  • Regular appointment: This project engagement gives you no claim to a regular appointment at ICAR-NBSS&LUP. Keep this condition in mind when considering the role.
  • Field travel: Nagpur is the stated posting location, but soil sampling can take you to field sites across India. The work therefore includes activity away from the institute as well as laboratory-based assignments.
  • Interview travel: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.
  • Final decision: The Director of ICAR-NBSS&LUP has the final say on matters relating to this recruitment.

Application Submission Notes

The walk-in venue is ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Amravati Road, Nagpur 440033, with reporting at 10:00 AM on the date assigned to your post. Your application must clearly identify whether you are applying for Young Professional-I or Young Professional-II.
