NARIP Consultant Biochemistry Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma (NARIP) at Cheruthuruthy in Thrissur, Kerala, is hiring a Consultant (Biochemistry) on a contract basis. NARIP is a unit of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) under the Ministry of Ayush, and runs a research hospital alongside the institute.

This is a six-month contract to start with, and the institute can extend or shorten it based on your performance. It suits experienced biochemistry professionals — MBBS doctors or M.Sc Medical Biochemistry holders with a proven track record in the field — who want to work with a central Ayurveda research body in Kerala.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement is purely contractual and co-terminus with the sanction from CCRAS headquarters. It gives you no right to continue or to claim a regular appointment.
• PhD counts as experience: A PhD in the subject is treated as four years of experience, however long it took you to finish it.
• MD counts too: An MD (Biochemistry) is treated as three years of experience.
• At joining: The selected candidate must hand in a police clearance certificate and an undertaking on non-judicial stamp paper along with the joining report.
• Interview changes: The Director of NARIP can postpone or cancel the interview without giving a reason.
