The National Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority, under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (Government of India), has released a Vacancy Circular dated 08 May 2026 for engagement of 2 Research Associates on a contractual basis. The posts are at 7th Floor, Pt. Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi - 110003. Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualifications

• Master's Degree from any recognised university in Forestry, Forestry Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Biology, Life Sciences, Information Sciences, Economics with Statistics, Agriculture with Statistics, or Agricultural Economics
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a Government Agency or council regarding the implementation of a National Level Scheme or Programme
• Proficiency in computer operations, accounting software, and standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluency in English and Hindi

Desirable

• Post-qualification working experience in Forestry / Environment Conservation / experience with reputed Organisation or NGOs in Natural Resource Management or Forestry
• Knowledge and work experience in MoEF&CC will be an added advantage

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of advertisement (08 May 2026)

Salary

• Consolidated remuneration: Rs. 40,000 per month
• No allowance or accommodation facility is provided. TA/DA for official tours within India will be paid as admissible after approval of the competent authority.
• TDS will be deducted from the monthly remuneration as applicable.

Selection Process

1. Screening of Applications: The Screening Committee constituted in the National Authority / MoEFCC will scrutinise applications based on the eligibility criteria.
2. Interview: Only candidates whose candidature has been provisionally accepted will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing for the interview.

• Assist the Inspector General of Forests (NAEB) in implementation of Nagar Van Yojana
• Provide technical support related to activities under all components and sub-components of the Scheme
• Coordinate with all States for submission and scrutiny of project proposals as per Guidelines
• Help prepare the monitoring framework of the scheme and compile data
• Work in close coordination with implementing agencies for data submission and mandatory documents
• Provide technical inputs and training support on the use of spatial technologies and tools for monitoring
• Maintain scheme data on interim and outcome indicators in the project's MIS
• Prepare semi-annual and annual project progress reports covering all components
