National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), an all-India apex organisation wholly owned by the Government of India, has released advertisement "Recruitment of Specialists on Contract 2026-27 – DDMABI" to fill 8 specialist posts across 6 roles. The posts are on a contract basis for 2 years, extendable up to 5 years. These roles cover data science, AI, data engineering and document design to power NABARD's data and GenAI projects. Who Can Apply?

AI Engineer (Age 26-40)

• B.E./B.Tech in CS/Computer Engineering/IT/Electronics & Telecommunication, or Master's in Data Science/Machine Learning/AI.
• Minimum 5 years experience including at least 2 years as an AI Engineer and 2 years as a backend developer. Knowledge of RAG, vector databases and Python is needed.

ETL Designer (Age 30-40)

• B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech/M.E. in CS/Computer Engineering/IT, or MCA.
• Minimum 7 years of IT experience with 3-5 years in designing ETL mappings.

Senior Data Scientist (Age 28-45)

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT/Data Science/Machine Learning & AI (First Class, min 60%), or M.E./M.Tech/MCA in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a data scientist or related field.

Data Scientist (Age 25-40)

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT/Data Science/Machine Learning & AI (First Class, min 60%), or M.E./M.Tech/MCA.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.

Data Engineer (Age 25-35)

• B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech/M.E. in CS/Computer Engineering/IT, or MCA.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience including 2 years as a Data Engineer and 2 years as a Database Developer.

Document Designer (Age 28-40)

• Bachelor's degree in any field (Master's in Graphic Design/Visual Communication/Fine Arts desirable).
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in document/report design, preferably in BFSI or consulting.

Preference is given to candidates with experience in banks, NBFCs, insurance or investment firms. All ages and qualifications are reckoned as on 01 June 2026.

Age Limit

• AI Engineer: 26 to 40 years
• ETL Designer: 30 to 40 years
• Senior Data Scientist: 28 to 45 years
• Data Scientist: 25 to 40 years
• Data Engineer: 25 to 35 years
• Document Designer: 28 to 40 years
• Age is calculated as on 01 June 2026.

Salary

• AI Engineer: Rs. 24-45 lakh per year (all-inclusive)
• Senior Data Scientist: Rs. 24-42 lakh per year
• ETL Designer: Rs. 24-32 lakh per year
• Data Scientist: Rs. 18-30 lakh per year
• Data Engineer: Rs. 18-24 lakh per year
• Document Designer: Rs. 12-24 lakh per year
• An annual increment of up to 10% can be granted based on performance. A House Rent Allowance of 10% is paid if quarters are not allotted.

Application Fee

• SC / ST / PWBD: Rs. 150 (intimation charges only)
• All other candidates: Rs. 850 (Rs. 700 application fee + Rs. 150 intimation charges)
• The fee is non-refundable and exclusive of applicable GST. Payment is online only.

Selection Process

The selection is done as follows:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for the interview in the ratio of 1:3 based on qualification and experience.
2. Interview: Final selection is by interview conducted by the Selection Committee.
3. Pre-recruitment Medical Examination: Selected candidates must be declared medically fit by the Bank's Medical Officer before final appointment.

Candidates serving in Govt./PSU/Bank jobs must submit a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
