Munitions India Limited, a Government of India defence enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has released a bilingual advertisement (Advertisement No. 1914/96/AOCP(50)/Phase-II/HRM/2026) to engage 14 Danger Building Worker personnel at its Ordnance Factory Dehu Road unit near Pune. The engagement is open only to ex-apprentices of the AOCP (Attendant Operator-Chemical Plant) trade or its feeder trades who trained at an Ordnance Factory or a Government-recognised ITI. Who Can Apply?

• Category-wise Reservation: OBC – 3 posts, SC – 5 posts, ST – 2 posts, EWS – 4 posts (total 14), with 5 posts reserved horizontally for Ex-Servicemen within these numbers.
• Qualification: You must be an ex-apprentice of the AOCP trade or a feeder trade — MCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
• Training background: Your apprenticeship must have been completed at an Ordnance Factory, or at a Government/private organisation recognised by a Government ITI.
• PwBD: Persons with Benchmark Disability are not eligible for this post.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on the closing date for receipt of applications, which falls 21 days after this advertisement was published in Employment News.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years (against SC/ST-reserved posts). OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get 3 years (against OBC-reserved posts).
• Ex-Servicemen: Get relaxation equal to their period of military service plus 3 years.

Salary

• Basic pay for this Skilled-grade post is Rs. 19,900 per month plus Dearness Allowance (DA).
• Pay is calculated at 1/30th of your basic pay plus DA for each 8-hour day you work, with proportionate deduction for unauthorised absence.
• You also get Central DA and House Rent Allowance (when company quarters are not provided) as per city classification. If a company quarter is allotted, a license fee is deducted at the rate applicable to regular workmen.
• You get a 3% annual increment (rounded to the next Rs. 10) on your basic pay every year, subject to a satisfactory performance rating.
• If your performance rating is below satisfactory, you get 3 months to improve; a second poor rating can end your engagement with 15 days' notice.
• You are covered under EPF and the Employees' Compensation Act, 1923, and are eligible for bonus under the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965, where applicable.

Selection Process

Munitions India Limited selects candidates through:

1. Merit List (NCVT/NAC marks): A cut-off percentage decided by OFDR shortlists candidates for the trade test.
2. Trade Test / Practical Test: Shortlisted candidates are tested on their hands-on trade skills.
3. Final Merit: Selection is based on your combined NCVT (NAC) and Trade Test marks.

Your work at OFDR will involve the manufacture, handling, and disposal of military explosives and ammunition. Once selected, you go through 1 month of compulsory internal safety training covering safe handling procedures and workplace dos and don’ts, followed by 2 months of on-the-job training at your actual workplace, before being posted to specific work. You are also eligible for company holidays at par with regular employees during your tenure.
