Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU), Tirunelveli has released an advertisement to fill 1 Project Assistant post for a research project titled "Therapeutic Potential of UC-MSC-Derived Exosomes in the Treatment of Liver Cirrhosis". The project is funded by the Chief Minister's Research Grant Scheme (CMRG) of the Tamil Nadu Government. This is a 3-year research role with Ph.D. registration eligibility — a great opportunity for life science graduates who want a career in biomedical research.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a First Class M.Sc in Biotechnology or any Life Science degree (such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology, Botany, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related life sciences).

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000 per month.

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

1. Shortlisting based on application and academic record.
2. Interview — shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Candidates have to attend at their own expense (no travel allowance).

Important Dates

• Assist the Principal Investigator in day-to-day research work of the CMRG-funded project on liver cirrhosis
• Carry out laboratory experiments related to umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell (UC-MSC) derived exosomes
• Handle cell culture, exosome isolation, characterization, and related biotechnology techniques
• Maintain lab records, observation books, and project documentation properly
• Prepare progress reports, research summaries, and presentation slides for project reviews
• Help in writing research papers, manuscripts, and project deliverables
• Order and manage chemicals, consumables, and laboratory supplies for the project
• Coordinate with collaborating departments, hospitals, and research institutes when needed
