MoEFCC Personal Assistant, Assistant & Stenographer Grade II Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Regional Office, Chandigarh has issued a vacancy circular to fill 3 vacant posts on deputation (including short-term contract) or composite method. This includes 1 Personal Assistant, 1 Assistant, and 1 Stenographer Grade II post. Only current government employees are eligible - this is not open to fresh candidates from outside government service. Officers currently working in Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, Autonomous or Statutory Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities, or Recognized Research Institutions can apply if they meet the eligibility norms. The deputation period is initially for 2 years, extendable as per government rules. MoEFCC's Regional Office in Chandigarh coordinates environmental and forest-related administrative work for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and the neighbouring Union Territories, so these posts offer exposure to a wide administrative area outside your current cadre. A deputation stint like this can also be a good career step, letting you gain experience with a central Ministry before returning to your parent department.
