Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU), a state university in Madurai with NAAC A++ accreditation, has invited applications for a Project Assistant position under the Chief Minister's Research Grant (CMRG), funded by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Higher Education Department. The project (No. CMRG251059) focuses on the fabrication of MXene/Black Phosphorous and biomass-derived Carbon-based hybrid functional electrodes for health care devices. This is a great opportunity for M.Sc. graduates in Physics, Chemistry, or Material Science who want to gain hands-on research experience in advanced materials and energy storage. The position is purely temporary for 3 years, co-terminus with the project.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a First class M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, or Material Science from a recognized university.
• Desirable: Candidates with GATE/NET qualification or research publications will have an added advantage (as noted in the application form).

Fellowship / Salary

• You will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• Duration: 3 years (co-terminus with the project).
• Note: This is a consolidated amount. No separate DA, HRA, or other allowances are provided.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through an interview:

1. Shortlisting: Only eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their application and qualifications.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date and time will be communicated separately.
