The Office of the Administrative Medical Officer, Maharashtra Employees' State Insurance Society (MH-ESIS), Mumbai has issued a notification to fill 8 Medical Officer Group-A posts at ESIS Society office and dispensaries in Mumbai. The appointment is on a contractual basis for 11 months. Walk-in interviews are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at the AMO office in Worli. Freshers and experienced MBBS doctors can attend.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an M.B.B.S. degree from a recognised medical institution.
• Marathi Language: Knowledge of Marathi language is essential.
• Computer Skills: You must know how to handle computers.
• Registration: Registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council is required.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: Less than 69 years as on the date of interview (13 May 2026).
• Reservation for various categories will be applied as per Maharashtra Government rules.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a fixed monthly pay of Rs. 75,000 per month.
• Pay is fixed as per Public Health Department Maharashtra Government Resolution No. MMO-2020/Case No. 152/Ser-3, Mantralaya dated 29.05.2020 (ESIC/8C, dated 01.09.2021).
• No allowances like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority benefits or Promotion are admissible.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based purely on walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: You must attend in person at the AMO office on the scheduled date with all original certificates.
2. Document Verification: Original certificates will be verified at the time of interview.
3. Merit-based Selection: If reserved category candidates are not available, the post may be filled by merit from other categories.

Note: No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview or joining.

How to Apply

2. Carry all original certificates including MBBS degree, MMC registration, age proof, ID proof, caste certificate (if applicable) and experience certificates (if any).
3. Carry passport-size photographs and a recent CV.
4. Report on the interview day between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
5. Selected candidates must join within 7 days of appointment and submit a security deposit equal to one month's pay (refundable after contract completion).

Important Note: The appointment is purely temporary for 11 months only. You cannot claim permanent service, PF, pension, gratuity or promotion. No private practice is allowed during the contract period. No leaves will be applicable.

• Provide outpatient consultation to ESIS beneficiaries at the assigned dispensary or hospital
• Diagnose common illnesses and prescribe medicines as per ESIS treatment protocols
• Maintain proper patient records and case histories in the prescribed format
• Refer serious cases to ESIS hospitals or empanelled tertiary care centres
• Handle minor procedures, dressings and emergency first aid at the dispensary
• Issue medical certificates and fitness certificates as per ESIS rules
• Follow Public Health Department guidelines and dispensary timings strictly
• Assist the Administrative Medical Officer with health camps and ESIS schemes
