Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (MDU) is engaging a Field Investigator for a minor research project linked to the Chaudhry Ranbir Singh Institute of Social and Economic Change and the Department of Education. The assignment sits at the meeting point of education research, disability inclusion and the use of artificial intelligence in higher education, giving you a chance to work directly with institutions rather than remain only at a desk.

The project is titled AI-Enabled Inclusive Classrooms: Assessing Readiness, Accessibility and Learning Outcomes for Students with Disabilities in Higher Education Institutions under NEP 2020. Its focus is practical: the research team will study whether colleges and universities are ready to use AI-supported learning in a way that remains accessible to students with disabilities. Your field inputs will shape the evidence used by the project team, so careful observation, reliable records and respectful interaction with participating institutions will matter throughout the assignment.

This role is attached to a 2026-2028 research project rather than to the university's regular staffing structure. You will work under the Principal Investigator and support the project from field collection through compilation and research documentation. A postgraduate background in social science fits the work because the study combines institutional practices, learner experience and education policy.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of engagement: The appointment is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project under CRSISEC norms.
• Assignment period: The notified engagement is for seven months; it does not create a claim to a regular university post.
• Field orientation: You should be comfortable visiting higher education institutions, coordinating data collection and keeping material organised for later analysis.
• Interview expense: The university will not pay TA or DA for attending the interview.
• Academic threshold: The notification gives a lower qualifying-marks threshold to SC, ST and persons with disabilities under MDU rules.
• Original records: You must present your original documents when you attend the interview so the university can check the information supplied with your application.
