Lok Nayak Hospital (LNH), one of Delhi's largest government hospitals, is hiring 49 Senior Residents on an ad-hoc basis across 13 specialties. If you have an MBBS degree plus a PG Degree/DNB/Diploma in the concerned specialty, you can attend the walk-in interview. The salary is Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month (Pay Level 11, 7th CPC). Lok Nayak Hospital Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 - 49 Posts
Lok Nayak Hospital (LNH), under the Government of NCT of Delhi, has issued a walk-in interview notice for 49 Senior Resident posts on ad-hoc basis (44 days) across 13 departments. LNH is one of the largest government hospitals in India, attached to Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC). There is no written exam — selection is purely through a walk-in interview. MBBS doctors who have completed or are completing their PG Degree/DNB/Diploma in the relevant specialty are eligible to apply.

Who Can Apply?
Essential Qualification
- You must have an MBBS degree from a recognized university, plus a Post Graduate Degree / DNB / Diploma (or Post Doctoral Degree / equivalent) in the concerned specialty/super-specialty from an NMC/MCI recognized university or institute.
- The tenure of your PG Degree/DNB/Diploma must be completed and results declared before the date of interview.
- You should preferably hold a DMC (Delhi Medical Council) registration for the concerned specialty. If you have a PG Degree but not yet a DMC certificate, you can appear provisionally — but you must have applied for DMC registration and enclosed the acknowledgment.
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
Relaxation Criteria
- In specialties with a perpetual shortage of fresh candidates, doctors who have completed 3 years of Senior Residency but are willing to serve again as Senior Residents may also attend the interview.
- Such candidates (those who completed 03 years residency) will be placed on a separate merit list, which will only be considered after fresh candidates' list is exhausted.
- Appointments from the second list are for a maximum of one year and are not renewable.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of interview.
- OBC candidates: Up to 48 years (3 years relaxation — OBC certificate issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi only).
- SC/ST candidates: Up to 50 years (5 years relaxation — SC/ST certificate issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi only).
- Note: Caste certificates from other states/UTs will not be accepted for age relaxation purposes.
Salary
- Pay Matrix: Level 11 (as per 7th Central Pay Commission)
- Monthly salary: Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month (entry pay Rs. 67,700)
- Plus DA, HRA, and other admissible allowances as per Government of NCT of Delhi rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview:
- Document Submission: Submit your application form at the E-I Branch between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM on your interview date.
- Walk-in Interview: Report to the Conference Hall, Medical Director, LNH after document submission. The interview panel reviews your qualification, experience, and publications.
- Merit List: A rank list will be prepared based on interview performance. No waiting list will be maintained. The rank list is valid only until the next interview notice is published.
Note: If the number of applications is very high, the interview may continue on the next working day. Candidates must remain at the venue until they are informed by the board members.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients admitted in the assigned department under the guidance of senior faculty
- Attend emergency calls and manage acute cases in the specialty ward
- Assist consultants and senior residents during ward rounds, OPD sessions, and surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records, case notes, and discharge summaries
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as appropriate to the specialty under supervision
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety standards at all times
- Participate in departmental academic activities including case presentations and conferences
