About This Job

Apply for 12 Head Clerk, Steno, Typist and Attender posts in Krishna District Court Fast Track Courts. Retired staff first. Last date: 13 Nov 2026.

Krishna District Court Fast Track Courts Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Principal District Court, Krishna at Machilipatnam is hiring contract staff for the Fast Track Courts sanctioned to Krishna District in Andhra Pradesh. The drive covers Head Clerk, Stenographer, Junior Assistant-cum-Typist and Office Subordinate (Attender) posts. Retired judicial employees get first preference; outside candidates are considered only for posts where no suitable retired employee is available.

This is a temporary, ad hoc contract engagement, not a regular court job. If you are a fresh graduate with typewriting or shorthand certificates, or a 7th-class pass with driving, cooking or ironing skills, you can still apply. Earlier work in the courts gives outside candidates an edge.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Head Clerk: Open only to retired judicial employees who retired as Superintendent (Category III of the A.P. Judicial Ministerial Service Rules) or above. Outside candidates cannot apply for this post.
  • Stenographer: Open to retired stenographers of the judicial ministerial service, and to outside graduates holding the A.P. Government Technical Examination certificates in English typewriting and shorthand. Lower Grade certificates may be accepted if Higher Grade holders are not available.
  • Junior Assistant-cum-Typist: Open to retired Junior Assistants or Typists with a typewriting qualification, and to outside graduates with the English Typewriting (Higher Grade) certificate and computer skills.
  • Office Subordinate (Attender): Open to retired last-grade employees, and to outside candidates who passed Class 7. You must have car driving, cooking or ironing skill. Anyone with a qualification above Intermediate-failed level is not eligible.

Post-wise Duties

Head Clerk

Your work covers the duties and functions of a Head Clerk in judicial office work, and the selection test checks how well you know them.

Junior Assistant-cum-Typist

Your work covers bench work, bench typing and e-Courts work on the court's computer systems.

Office Subordinate (Attender)

The post needs a person with car driving, cooking or ironing skill to support the court office.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Retired staff first: Outside candidates are considered for a post only if no suitable and eligible retired judicial employee is available.
  • Retired employees: You must have retired on superannuation, be within the age cap the notice sets for re-employment, and have a satisfactory service record.
  • Agreement: You sign an agreement with the Principal District Judge, Krishna, initially for one year.
  • Pay: A consolidated monthly amount is paid as per the applicable rules; the notice does not print the figure.
  • Ad hoc engagement: The appointment is purely temporary, contractual and ad hoc, and can be ended under the terms of appointment.
  • Disqualification: Staff who took voluntary retirement on medical invalidation, were compulsorily retired, dismissed or removed, or were punished for misconduct cannot apply.
  • Fitness: You must be physically and mentally fit for the duties of the post.
  • No travel allowance: No TA is paid for any test or interview.
