DLSA Amroha Mediator Recruitment 2026: Overview

District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Amroha is building a fresh panel of Mediators for the Mediation Centre that runs inside the Civil Court (Diwani Nyayalaya) at Amroha. The drive follows a letter from the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (UPSLSA), Lucknow (letter no. 3339/SLSA-197/2026, dated 29 September 2026), which asked districts to strengthen mediation so that cases pending in the courts can be settled faster. This is a panel, not a regular post — you are enrolled as a mediator and cases are referred to you by the centre.

The panel is open to experienced advocates, retired District and Additional District Judges, and senior professionals from other fields. The notice names retired judicial and government officers, principals and educationists, bankers, chartered accountants and social workers as people the authority wants on the panel, as long as they have experience or a real interest in settling disputes.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Governing rules: Empanelment is made under Rule 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Civil Procedure (District Courts) Mediation Rules, 2021; you give your written consent to be placed on the panel in the application itself.
• Code of conduct: You must follow the code of conduct laid down in Rule 22 of the same Rules for as long as you serve as a mediator.
• Training: You undertake to complete the mediator training prescribed by the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India.
• Background disclosure: The form asks whether a charge sheet has been filed against you, whether you were convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude, whether you were declared insolvent or of unsound mind, and whether any disciplinary proceedings were started or ended in a penalty. Answer these truthfully, since you sign a declaration that nothing has been hidden.
• Advocates: Advocates must give their Bar Council enrolment number and date in the form.

Application Submission Notes

Fill in the form given in Schedule One of the notice, paste your photograph, and hand it in at the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Civil Court, Amroha or send it by registered post. The office accepts forms until 5:00 PM on the closing day, so if you are posting it, send it early enough to reach the office in time.
