KRCL, a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has issued Vacancy Notice No. DE/05/2026 (File No. CO-13014(14)/10/2015-PERS-Part(4)[6651]) dated 7 July 2026 for 1 Divisional Security Commissioner/RPF post on deputation basis at Madgaon. KRCL operates the strategic Konkan Railway route connecting Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, and Kerala, and depends on deputed RPF officers for railway security since it does not maintain a separate RPF cadre of its own. As a Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, KRCL offers officers on deputation a chance to gain leadership experience in railway security operations across one of India's most challenging hill and coastal terrains. The notice has been circulated to the Director General/RPF, General Managers of all Railways and Production Units, Directors General/Directors of all Railway Training Institutes, and the CMD/MD/Chairman of all CPSUs, inviting eligible officers to apply. Only serving RPF Officers holding Senior Scale (7th CPC Level-11) or Junior Scale (7th CPC Level-10) are eligible. The normal deputation term is 3 years, and it will not exceed a maximum of 5 years under any circumstances.

Who Can Apply?

• Eligibility: Serving Senior Scale RPF Officer (7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-11, GP Rs. 6,600) OR Junior Scale RPF Officer (7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-10, GP Rs. 5,400).
• Where you can be from: Zonal Railways, Production Units, Railway PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies.
• Role Context: As Divisional Security Commissioner, you would be the senior-most RPF officer posted at Madgaon, responsible for railway security across that division of the Konkan Railway route — a role that carries significant operational and administrative responsibility within KRCL's security setup.
• If you are currently working in a Zonal Railway/Production Unit, your application must be forwarded to the Railway Board with the approval of the Competent Authority in the Ministry, at least 7 days before the closing date.
• KRCL will only consider applications that have been duly forwarded by the Railway Board.

Age Limit

• You should be below 57 years of age as on the date of notification (7 July 2026).

Salary

• You will be placed at 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-10 (GP Rs. 5,400) or Level-11 (GP Rs. 6,600), depending on the scale you currently hold.
• You will draw the pay admissible to you from time to time on the Railways, plus deputation (duty) allowance.
• Retention of Railway accommodation during your deputation tenure at KRCL is permissible, as per Railway Board guidelines issued from time to time, and other perks and benefits follow the same accommodation-retention terms.
• KRCL is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption for deputationists up to 31 December 2026, meaning you can return to your parent Railway cadre after your deputation tenure without being permanently absorbed into KRCL.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done as follows:

1. Shortlisting: Eligible and suitable officers will be shortlisted based on their eligibility criteria and relevant experience, as specified in the Vacancy Notice.
2. Document Verification: Governed by the criteria laid down in Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) letters No. 2017/E(O)II/41/5 dated 25.05.2017 and No. 2018/E(O)II/41/1 dated 07.03.2018, which set out the general procedure for deputation postings to Railway PSUs like KRCL.
