Responsibilities

  • Provide primary healthcare services and OPD consultations to patients at the assigned Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) under Kolhapur Municipal Corporation.
  • Diagnose and treat common illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions presenting at the health centre.
  • Prescribe medicines and recommend further tests or specialist referrals when needed.
  • Conduct health awareness camps and participate in community outreach programmes under the National Health Mission.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, patient registers, and submit monthly reports to the NUHM office.
  • Follow all protocols and guidelines issued by the National Health Mission and the 15th Finance Commission health programme.
  • Assist in immunization drives, disease surveillance, and maternal-child health programmes within the assigned urban area.
  • Work closely with ANMs, staff nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure smooth operations at the health centre.
