The University of Kerala has issued notification No. P.R.97/2026 dated 14 May 2026 inviting eligible Chemistry candidates for a walk-in interview at the University College of Engineering, Karyavattom. The appointment is on a guest faculty basis for teaching Chemistry to engineering students. NAAC A++ accredited University of Kerala is one of the oldest universities in India.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must hold a PhD in Chemistry OR have qualified NET in Chemistry.
• Subject specialisation must be relevant to Chemistry teaching for engineering students.
• Candidates with prior teaching experience in engineering colleges or universities will benefit during the interview, although it is not mandatory.

Salary

• Guest faculty members are paid per lecture or per month as per the University of Kerala guest faculty norms.
• The exact rate is announced at the time of appointment based on workload and qualification.
• This is a temporary, contract-based engagement, not a permanent post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done through a walk-in interview on the same day:

1. Document Verification: Original certificates and one photocopy are verified at the venue
2. Personal Interview: An interview panel from the College of Engineering will assess your subject knowledge, teaching ability and communication skills
3. Merit Selection: Selected candidates are intimated immediately or by phone/email after the interview

2. Carry your updated resume/CV, original certificates and one set of photocopies.
3. Bring proof of PhD or NET qualification in Chemistry.
