Kerala PSC Pharmacist Grade II (Homoeo) Recruitment 2026

Kerala PSC is hiring for Pharmacist Grade II (Homoeo) posts in the Homoeopathy Department of the Kerala Government. Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) Pharmacist Grade II (Homoeo) Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Kerala PSC has released two special recruitment notifications, known as NCA (Notification for Community-wise Allotment) notifications, for the post of Pharmacist Grade II (Homoeo) in the Homoeopathy Department. These are issued when qualified candidates from a specific reserved community were not available in earlier rounds of recruitment for the same post. Each notification is restricted to one particular reserved community and one specific district — this is not a general recruitment open to all candidates. If you belong to the notified community for the district you want to apply to, this is a genuine chance at a permanent government pharmacist job.

The Homoeopathy Department runs government dispensaries and hospitals across Kerala that offer free homoeopathic treatment to the public. As a Pharmacist Grade II, you would be responsible for preparing and dispensing homoeopathic medicines under the supervision of medical officers at these government institutions — a stable, pensionable government job with regular promotions.

Vacancy Breakdown

Both posts carry the same pay scale and qualification requirements. You can only apply to the district notified for your specific reserved community — applications from candidates outside the notified community for that category will be summarily rejected.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a pass in SSLC (10th) or an equivalent qualification, plus a pass certificate in the Nurse-cum-Pharmacist Training Course (Homoeopathy) or Certificate Course in Pharmacy (Homoeopathy) conducted by the Government of Kerala, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
• Community (Cat.No.115/2026): Open only to candidates from the Scheduled Caste Converted to Christianity (SCCC) community, applying for the Kasaragod district vacancy.
• Community (Cat.No.116/2026): Open only to candidates from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community, applying for the Kottayam district vacancy.
• Applications from candidates belonging to communities other than those notified for a specific category will be rejected without notice.
• Equivalent Qualification: If you hold a qualification that the Government has officially declared equivalent or higher to the prescribed pharmacy certificate, that also counts — but you must produce the relevant Government order at the time of certificate verification.

Age Limit

• For the SCCC category (Cat.No.115/2026), you should be born between 2 January 1983 and 1 January 2008 (age 18-43). If you are a Scheduled Caste adult who converted to Christianity (or their children), the upper age limit goes up to 45 years (born between 2 January 1981 and 1 January 2008).
• For the ST category (Cat.No.116/2026), you should be born between 2 January 1981 and 1 January 2008 (age 18-45).
• Age Relaxation: Further concessions are available as per the General Conditions of this notification, but the maximum age limit cannot exceed 50 years under any circumstances.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 27,900 to Rs. 63,700 per month for the Pharmacist Grade II (Homoeo) post.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection is based on a district and community-specific ranked list:

1. Application Screening: Your online application and community/category details are checked against the notified category.
2. Written/OMR/Online Test (if conducted): If Kerala PSC decides to conduct a test as part of this selection, you must confirm your intention to write the exam through your profile before the admit card is issued.
3. Document Verification: You need to upload or produce original documents proving your qualification, age and community when asked.
4. Ranked List and Advice for Appointment: A separate ranked list is prepared for each district and community combination, and candidates are advised for appointment as vacancies arise.

Since this is a district-wise selection, if you are appointed from a district ranked list you generally cannot transfer to another district until you complete 5 years of continuous service, and additional restrictions apply for postings in Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts.

How to Apply

1. Go to the Kerala PSC portal at www.keralapsc.gov.in.
2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new user, or log in with your existing User ID and Password.
3. Upload a photograph taken within the last six months (if creating a new profile).
4. Click on 'Apply Now' against the relevant Notification Link for your community and district.
5. Fill in your application, noting the correct district against your reserved community.
6. Submit the application and keep a printout or soft copy for your records.
