Selection Process

Selection is on a district and community-wise basis:

1. Application Screening: Your community and qualification details are checked against the notified category.
2. Written Test: If a written test is conducted, you must score a separate minimum of 40% marks each in Kannada and Malayalam.
3. Handwriting Test in Kannada: Required only if you are advised for a post in the Registration Department.
4. Document Verification: You need to produce original documents proving your qualification, age and community when asked.
5. Ranked List and Advice for Appointment: Separate ranked lists are prepared for each community, and candidates are advised for appointment as vacancies arise.

Since selection is on a revenue district basis, if you are appointed from the Kasaragod ranked list, transfer to another district is restricted for at least five years of continuous service, with additional conditions applying to postings within Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts.
