Kamdhenu University Assistant Professor (Contractual) Recruitment 2026 - 10 Posts

Kamdhenu University, established by the Government of Gujarat under Gujarat Act No. 9 of 2009, has announced a walk-in interview to fill 10 Assistant Professor (Contractual) posts in the Faculty of Fisheries Science. The posts are spread across several fisheries disciplines at the College of Fisheries Science, Veraval. This is a purely temporary, 11-month engagement that runs until a regular Assistant Professor is appointed. Candidates with teaching experience and a Gujarat domicile are given preference.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a Master's degree (M.F.Sc.) or a Doctorate in the relevant fisheries discipline from a recognized university.
• NET: You must have passed the NET exam conducted by UGC / CSIR / ICAR and published at least one article in a NAAS-rated journal.
• Ph.D. exemption: If you hold a Ph.D. with course work as per the UGC Notification 2009 and have two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of at least four, you are exempted from NET. Candidates with a Ph.D. without course work will not be considered.
• Computer skills: You should have basic knowledge of computer application and must have passed the CCC examination.
• Preference: Candidates with teaching experience and a domicile of Gujarat State are preferred.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates.
• Age relaxation: Reserved category candidates get age relaxation as per government rules.

Salary

• You will get a fixed salary of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• This is a consolidated pay for the contractual period — the post is for 11 months or until a regular Assistant Professor is appointed.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend in person at the Principal Office, College of Fisheries Science, KU, Veraval on 17 July 2026 at 9:30 AM.
2. Document Verification: Carry original and self-attested copies of all certificates for verification at the time of interview.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
