Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project arrangement: This is an externally funded research appointment. Joining the project gives you no claim to a regular JIPMER post. Continued engagement depends on the project and its funding support.
• Likely tenure: The appointment is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension up to three years if performance is satisfactory. An extension is conditional, so you should not treat the longest possible period as a guaranteed appointment.
• Changes to engagement: The Project Investigator can extend or shorten the appointment. The notice also allows the investigator to alter or relax terms and conditions at their discretion.
• Field travel: The application asks whether you are willing to visit field locations or other study centres. This matters because the project spans primary-care sites as well as the institute.
• Accuracy of information: False information or attempts to influence the recruitment can lead to disqualification. If a problem is found after joining, your engagement can also be ended.
