Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has released this contract recruitment for Project Nurse-II under the Department of Emergency Medicine & Trauma. The post is linked to an ICMR-funded implementation research study on building a patient-centred emergency care model in selected districts of India. The appointment is initially for 6 months and may be extended up to 1 year based on your performance and project needs.

Project details: The research study focuses on developing a high-quality integrated emergency care system in selected districts of India. The Principal Investigator is Dr. Manu Ayyan from Emergency Medicine & Trauma. For this role, JIPMER needs nurses who can support field-level research, collect accurate data, assess health facilities, and work with the project team in Puducherry.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Qualification: You need a minimum second class or equivalent CGPA in a three-year General Nursing & Midwife (GNM) course.
• Language Skills: You should have good command of Tamil and English for speaking, reading, and writing.

Desirable Qualification and Experience

• Preferred Qualification: B.Sc Nursing or M.Sc Nursing is desirable.
• Project Experience: Experience in projects or programmes at the state or district level is preferred.
• Field Work: Community-level work experience is desirable because the role involves travel and data collection.
• Travel Requirement: You must be willing to travel to urban and rural health facilities in Puducherry districts for project work.

Work expectation: This is not only a desk-based nursing role. The notification specifically mentions quantitative data collection, health facility assessment, household visits in allotted areas, and travel to urban and rural facilities. Age Limit

Selection Process
