Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) posts were added through AIIMS Addendum No. 23/2026 dated 18 June 2026 under Common Recruitment Examination-5. AIIMS New Delhi is conducting the CBT, but appointment and posting will be handled by JIPMER as per its rules. This is a regular non-faculty recruitment route for administrative, technical, healthcare support, engineering, store, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social work posts.

Work locations: Vacancies are spread across Puducherry, Karaikal, and Yanam. You should choose the post and institute preference carefully while applying on the AIIMS examination portal, because CRE-5 collects preferences from qualified candidates before allocation.

Who Can Apply?

Administrative and Clerical Posts

• Junior Administrative Assistant: You need 12th class or equivalent qualification plus computer typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi.
• LDC cum Store Keeper / Library Clerk: Matriculation or equivalent is required, with typing speed of 30 w.p.m. for the listed posts.
• Stenographer Gr.II: You need 12th class plus dictation and transcription skill test ability.

Healthcare and Technical Posts

• Pharmacist: Degree or diploma in Pharmacy with required experience and registration under the Pharmacy Act.
• Medical Laboratory Technologist: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Technology / MLT with 2 years relevant experience.
• Radiology, radiotherapy, OT, CSSD, audiology, perfusion, and photography posts: You need the matching diploma or degree, and experience where the notice asks for it.

Engineering, Stores, Dietician, and Social Work Posts

• Junior Engineer: Civil or Electrical engineering degree with 2 years experience, or diploma with 3 years experience.
• Assistant Dietician: B.Sc. Home Science with Nutrition plus a full-time M.Sc. in the listed nutrition or dietetics field and 2 years experience.
• Medical Social Worker: Master's degree in Social Work with specialization in Medical Social Work and the required teaching or social work experience.

Age Limit

• Age varies by post: Many JIPMER posts have upper age limits of 25 years, 27 years, 28 years, 30 years, or 35 years.
• Age reference date: Age is counted as on the CRE-5 closing date, 3 July 2026.
• Relaxation: SC/ST get 5 years, OBC get 3 years, PwBD get 10 years, and other relaxations apply as per Government of India rules and the specific recruitment rules.

Salary

• Pay Level 2: Around Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month.
• Pay Level 4: Around Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.
• Pay Level 5: Around Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month.
• Pay Level 6: Around Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• Pay Level 8: Around Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month.
• Selected staff will also get usual allowances as applicable at JIPMER.

Application Fee

• General / OBC: Rs. 3,000 per group.
• SC / ST / EWS: Rs. 2,400 per group.

Selection Process

Selection is through Computer Based Test, skill test where applicable, preference allocation, and document verification.

1. Computer Based Test: CRE-5 CBT has 100 MCQs for 400 marks in 90 minutes.
2. Post-specific domain section: The paper has 20 questions on general knowledge, aptitude, and computer knowledge plus 80 questions from the relevant domain.
3. Negative marking: 1/4 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
4. Skill Test: Typing, stenography, trade, programming, or other skill tests apply only to the relevant groups.
5. Document Verification and Allocation: Qualified candidates will give institute preferences, and JIPMER appointment will depend on eligibility, documents, vacancy, and merit.
