JIPMER, Puducherry has released advertisement No. JIP/Neuro/OVERTURE/2026 for 1 Clinical Trial Coordinator post on a contract basis. The role is attached to the OVERTURE study — a multicenter, open-label, single-arm Phase IV trial assessing Ocrelizumab in Multiple Sclerosis patients, funded by Roche Products India Pvt Ltd and led by Dr. Saranya B Gomathy in the Neurology department. The engagement is likely to run for 2 years (August 2026 to August 2028) and does not confer any claim to a regular JIPMER position. This role suits candidates who already have clinical trial coordination experience and can communicate comfortably with Tamil-speaking patients.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: B.Sc. in Nursing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Clinical Research or an allied health science from a recognised university
• Language: You must be able to read, speak and write Tamil, since the project needs effective communication with patients and helps with the informed consent process
• Experience: You need a minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical research or clinical trial coordination
• Preferred: An M.Sc. in Clinical Research/Life Sciences/Allied Health Sciences or MD Pharmacology, GCP certification, and experience in industry-sponsored or neurology clinical trials (multiple sclerosis, neuroimmunology or biologic therapies) will strengthen your application

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (10 August 2026).
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years is given to candidates with relevant research experience, as per the ICMR order.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 28,000 per patient recruitment and follow-up.
• No other allowances are payable apart from this consolidated amount, and the rate may vary from time to time at the discretion of the Project Investigator.

Selection Process

Your candidature will be evaluated in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on your application, CV and documentary proof — the list of eligible candidates will also be published on the JIPMER website
2. Written Test: Covers ICH-GCP guidelines, informed consent, adverse event/SAE reporting, clinical trial documentation, good documentation practices, basic neurology/multiple sclerosis knowledge, and MS Office and data management
3. Interview: Assesses your communication skills, knowledge of clinical trial conduct, ethics and regulatory requirements, documentation skills, and your professional attitude and motivation to work

The written test and interview will be held on 24 August 2026, from 8:30 AM onwards, in the Neurology Seminar Room on the 2nd floor of the Superspeciality Block at JIPMER. Interviews may also be conducted via videoconferencing at the discretion of the Project Investigator — in that case, you must arrange your own device and internet connection. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Keep in mind this is a purely contractual position for an externally funded project — you will have no claim to any regular JIPMER post at any time. The engagement may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Project Investigator, and submitting false or incomplete information at any stage can lead to disqualification or termination, even after you have been engaged.
