Government ITI Leh (Administration of UT of Ladakh) is hiring Guest Faculty (Instructors) for 3 trades for the 2026-27 academic session. ITI Leh Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Office of the Superintendent, Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Leh has invited applications to engage Guest Faculty on a temporary basis for three trades. There is one post each for Instructor (COPA), Instructor Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant (English) and Instructor Plumber. Selection is purely on merit — there is no written exam. This is a good chance for ITI, diploma and degree holders in Ladakh to teach and build teaching experience.

Who Can Apply?

Instructor (COPA)

• B.Voc / Degree in Computer Science or IT from an AICTE/UGC recognised university, OR
• Post Graduate in Computer Science / Computer Application / IT from a UGC recognised university, or NIELIT B Level, OR
• Bachelor's in Computer Science / Computer Application / IT, or PGDCA, or NIELIT A Level, OR
• 3-year Diploma in Computer Science / IT from a recognised board, or a relevant Advanced Diploma (Vocational) from DGT, OR
• National Trade Certificate (NTC) / National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) / State Trade Certificate (STC) in the COPA trade.

Instructor Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant (English)

• B.Voc / Degree in Commerce or Arts (with Shorthand & Typing as one subject) from a UGC recognised university, OR
• Diploma (minimum 2 years) in Commercial Practice, or a relevant Advanced Diploma (Vocational), OR
• NTC / NAC / STC in the trade of Stenographer (English) or Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant (English).

Instructor Plumber

• B.Voc / Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an AICTE/UGC recognised engineering college or university, OR
• 3-year Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant Advanced Diploma (Vocational) from DGT, OR
• NTC / NAC / STC in the Plumber trade or a relevant trade.

A CITS / NCIC qualification is treated as a higher qualification. Candidates with higher qualifications and teaching experience are given preference.

Salary

• Guest Faculty are paid a fixed Rs. 25,500 per month (as per order No. 18 TE&SD (UTL) of 2023 dated 08-08-2023).
• No pay or honorarium is given during the vacation period.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done purely on merit, out of 100 points:

1. Basic Qualification: 70 points (worked out on a prorate basis)
2. Relevant Higher Qualification: 10 points (5 for a higher qualification and 5 for the next higher qualification)
3. Relevant Experience: 10 points (2 points per year of relevant practical experience)
4. Domain Skill Test: 8 points (assessed by the committee)
5. Pedagogy / Teaching Methodology: 2 points (assessed by the committee)

The institute prepares a final merit list and a waiting list. The waiting list is used if a selected candidate does not join or leaves during the session.

How to Apply

1. Fill the application in the prescribed format given with the notice.
2. Attach self-attested copies of your Date of Birth certificate, Qualification certificate and Experience certificate (if any).
3. Make sure the completed application reaches the office of the Superintendent, Government ITI Leh on or before 15 July 2026.

Incomplete applications, or those without the required documents, will be rejected without any notice.

Terms of Engagement

• The engagement is temporary and lasts for a maximum of two academic sessions.
• Your work is reviewed at the end of each session, and a second session depends on satisfactory performance.
• The engagement ends automatically if a regular instructor joins the trade by transfer, promotion or fresh appointment.
• If you want to leave, you must give 45 days (1.5 months) notice to the Superintendent, ITI Leh.
• Selected candidates must sign an affidavit before a Judicial Magistrate stating they have no claim to permanent absorption.

• Teach trade theory and practical lessons to ITI trainees under the Craftsmen Training Scheme
• Supervise and guide students during their practical and workshop work
• Prepare lesson plans and training material for the assigned trade
• Assess trainees' progress and keep proper training records
• Assist the Superintendent, ITI in academic and institute activities
• Maintain discipline, punctuality and good conduct in the institute
