Education Recruitment Directorate (ERD), Punjab Lecturer Recruitment 2026 - 829 Posts

The Education Recruitment Directorate (ERD), under the Department of School Education, Punjab, has released a public notice for 829 fresh Lecturer posts across 12 subjects. These lecturers teach Classes 11 and 12 in Punjab government schools. History has the most seats with 200 posts, so History, Political Science and English offer the biggest openings. This directorate has recruited nearly 75,000 teachers since it was set up, so this is a trusted route to a permanent teaching job with the Punjab government. The 12 subjects cover the full range taught in senior secondary schools — science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, plus Commerce and arts subjects like History, Political Science, English, Punjabi, Hindi, Economics and Geography. A Lecturer post gives you a stable career, a monthly salary and government benefits, which makes it one of the most sought-after teaching jobs in Punjab. A separate public notice has been issued for the backlog Lecturer posts, which is a different advertisement.
