IRICEN Technical Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering (IRICEN), Pune, is filling a Technical Assistant post on an ex-cadre basis. Only serving Railway employees can apply — the circular has gone to all zonal railways, divisions, production units and the other centralised training institutes such as NAIR, RDSO, IRIMEE, IRISET and IRIEEN. In this job you support IRICEN's faculty members in running training courses at the Pune campus. If you are a graduate or engineering diploma holder in the right pay grade and comfortable with MS Office and Excel, this is a chance to move to a training institute for a few years without giving up your place in your home railway.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Who can apply: The post is open only to Railway employees in the pay grades the notification lists; outside candidates are not considered.
• Lien: Because this is an ex-cadre post, your lien stays with your parent Railway or Division.
• Tenure: The posting at IRICEN is initially for three years, and the administration can extend or cut short this period.
• Closing rule: Applications should be forwarded within 30 days from the issue of the notification dated 19 October 2026.
• Advance copies: You may send an advance copy directly, but it is considered only after the copy routed through proper channel arrives.

Fill the prescribed application proforma attached to the notification and send it through proper channel to The Director General, IRICEN, 11-A South Main Road, Koregaon Park, Pune - 411001. You can also email it to office@iricen.railnet.gov.in.

Attach a copy of your APAR dossier for the last three years. The proforma also asks for your present pay band, grade pay and basic pay, the details of your controlling officer, and the officer who holds your last three years' ACRs, so keep these ready before you start.
