About This Job
Indian Army is recruiting 6 women as Short Service Commission Officers through NCC Special Entry 124th Course (October 2026). Any graduate with NCC 'C' Certificate (minimum B grade) can apply online. No written exam — selection through SSB interview and medical exam. Last date to apply is 16 March 2026. No application fee.
If you hold an NCC 'C' Certificate and have a graduation degree, here's your chance to become an officer in the Indian Army — without any written exam. The Indian Army has opened applications for 6 women under the Short Service Commission (SSC) NCC Special Entry 124th Course starting October 2026.
Key Highlights
- No written exam — shortlisting based on NCC 'C' Certificate grade + graduation marks
- Only for unmarried women graduates with NCC 'C' Certificate (min B grade)
- 1 seat reserved for Ward of Battle Casualty (NCC certificate not needed for this category)
- 49 weeks training at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai — PG Diploma awarded on completion
- 10-year service tenure, extendable by 4 years — option for Permanent Commission in 10th year
- CTC on joining is approximately Rs. 17-18 lakh per annum plus free medical cover
Selection Process
There is no written exam for this entry. Your application is first shortlisted using a bonus marks formula — you get up to 50 marks for your NCC 'C' Certificate grade (A grade = 50, B grade = 25) and up to 50 marks for your graduation percentage. If shortlisted, you attend a 5-day SSB interview at one of four centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar). Candidates recommended by the SSB go through a medical examination, and the final merit list is based purely on your SSB marks.
