IITR Project Consultant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) is hiring a Project Consultant for its Department of Earthquake Engineering in Roorkee. The consultancy project studies earthquake design parameters specific to Pandoh Dam, with support from the Bhakhra Beas Management Board. You would join the project led by Dr. B.K. Maheshwari, bringing together earth-science research and the needs of infrastructure design. This is a project contract, with the appointment tied to the work described in the notice.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Conduct site-specific seismic hazard studies for infrastructure projects.
• Develop earthquake design parameters for dams, power plants, bridges and buildings.
• Interpret geological, geotechnical and seismological data for seismic assessment.
• Evaluate ground motion characteristics and Ground Motion Prediction Equations (GMPEs).
• Assess response spectra and seismic zoning against relevant Indian standards, including IS 1893:2016.
