IIT ISM Project Associate I Drone Recruitment 2026: Overview
Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad (IIT ISM Dhanbad) is recruiting a Project Associate I for a sponsored project in the Department of Electronics Engineering. Prof. Ravi Kumar Gangwar leads the project on capacity building for human resource development in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), drones and related technology, supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
This project-based assignment combines drone research with activities that help develop technical training. If you join, your work will connect drone and drone-electronics development with the project’s wider aim of building trained manpower.
Service Conditions and Caveats

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace, with a good academic background.
Preferred Qualification
Experience in drone technologies; good scientific writing and presentation skills.
Required Skills
Good knowledge in at least one of these areas: UAV systems, communication systems, machine learning, signal processing, sensors, computer vision, drone applications or GPS-denied systems.
