The position is attached to a research project titled "Mechanistic Insights into Light-Activated Doping/Dedoping in 2D Materials: Enabling Materials for Indigenous Space-Grade Electronics", run under the Department of Chemical Engineering. There is no written exam — selection is done entirely through a face-to-face interview. Who Can Apply?

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 42,000 — made up of Rs. 35,000 pay plus Rs. 7,000 HRA.
• The appointment is for a fixed duration of 11 months, tied to the project's funding.

Selection for this post is based purely on an interview:

1. Offline Interview: Held on 24 August 2026 (Monday) at 12:15 PM in the CFN Conference Room, Centre for Nanotechnology, IIT Guwahati campus.

Shortlisted candidates will get an email on 17 August 2026 confirming their interview call. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview, and no campus accommodation is provided.
