IIT Gandhinagar Project Assistant I (Media and Video Production) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar), a premier engineering institute set up in 2008 under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is hiring for the SWAYAM Prabha project. SWAYAM Prabha is a national initiative that broadcasts free educational content through DTH channels to students across India. This is a great opportunity for fresh graduates in media, design, or film making who want to work in educational video production at one of India's top IIT campuses. The position is under Prof. Udit Bhatia, Department of Civil Engineering.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a Bachelor's degree in Design, Film Making, Mass Communication, Media, or any other relevant video production discipline.
• Minimum Marks: At least 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards, and 55% or equivalent grade in Class 10th and 12th.
• Freshers Welcome: Fresh graduates with a strong interest in video production and editing are encouraged to apply.

Desirable Skills

• Basic knowledge of camera operations and video recording techniques
• Proficiency in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects (motion graphics)
• Knowledge of educational video production workflows and e-learning content creation

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 44,000 (including HRA).
• This is a contract position for 1 year.
• The salary is a consolidated package, so no separate allowances apply.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through:
