IIT Gandhinagar has released a notification for 1 Post-Doctoral Fellow position in the Materials Engineering department, under Prof. Sesha Sai Behara, for a project on designing and discovering high-voltage cathodes for Li-ion and Na-ion batteries. The position runs for 1 year and is ideal for candidates with a strong computational materials science background. Candidates skilled in DFT, cluster expansions and Monte Carlo simulations are especially encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Ph.D. (degree awarded or thesis submitted) in Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline
• Academic Record: Minimum 60% or equivalent in Graduation and above, and 55% or equivalent in 10th and 12th standard
• Desirable: Expertise in computational materials science, a strong foundation in thermodynamics and kinetics, familiarity with coding, and a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Other Skills: Ability to conduct independent research and strong scientific communication skills

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 72,000 to Rs. 84,000 per month, depending on your qualifications and experience.
• The position is for a duration of 1 year.
