IIM Sirmaur, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has released Recruitment Notification No. 02/2026 for 11 Non-Teaching positions spread across Group A, Group B, Group C, and contract-based roles. These are senior administrative, engineering, finance, IT, security, and legal positions to support the Institute's growing campus at Dhaula Kuan, Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. Who Can Apply?

Superintending Engineer (Level-13, Rs. 1,23,100-2,15,900):

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 55% marks, plus 15 years of relevant experience (5 years as Executive Engineer at Level-12, or equivalent private-sector experience with firms like L&T, Tata Projects, Shapoorji Pallonji)

Chief Administrative Officer (Level-12, Rs. 78,800-2,09,200):

• Master's Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks (LLB preferred), plus 15 years of supervisory or administrative-head experience

Finance Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (Level-11, Rs. 67,700-2,08,700):

• CA / ICWA / CMA final pass, or MBA (Finance), plus 12 years of relevant experience including 5 years as Head of Finance & Accounts

System Manager (Level-11, Rs. 67,700-2,08,700):

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or IT with at least 55% marks, plus 10 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience

Administrative Officer (Level-10, Rs. 56,100-1,77,500):

• Master's Degree (First Class) — MBA/PG in Management preferred — plus 8 years of relevant administrative or academic experience

Hindi Officer (Level-8, Rs. 47,600-1,51,100):

• Master's Degree in Hindi with English as a subject (or vice versa), 55% marks, plus 6 years of relevant experience

Hindi Translator-cum-Typist (Level-3, Rs. 21,700-69,100):

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Hindi with 50% marks (MBA in Hindi preferred), plus 3 years of relevant experience

Contract Posts — General Manager (Administration), Chief Security Officer, Legal Officer:

• General Manager (Administration): Master's/Bachelor's Degree with 55% marks, 15 years of experience as Head of Administration (or a retired Central Government officer at PB-3/GP 7,600 level with 20 years' administrative experience)
• Chief Security Officer: Bachelor's/Master's Degree with 55% marks, 10 years of security experience — ex-servicemen retired at Lt. Colonel level or above preferred
• Legal Officer: LLB with at least 5 years of experience handling legal matters in government/PSU organizations

Age Limit

• Superintending Engineer, Chief Administrative Officer: Preferably below 50 years
• Finance Advisor & CAO, System Manager, Administrative Officer: Preferably below 45 years
• Hindi Officer: Preferably below 35 years
• Hindi Translator-cum-Typist: Preferably below 30 years
• General Manager (Administration): Below 50 years (in-service) / below 65 years (retired)
• Chief Security Officer: Below 56 years (in-service) / below 65 years (retired)
• Legal Officer: Preferably below 60 years
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates

Salary

• Regular Group A/B/C posts get Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 2,15,900 per month depending on Pay Level (Level-3 to Level-13, 7th CPC), plus Children Education Allowance, LTC and Medical Insurance
• Contract posts get a consolidated monthly salary: General Manager (Administration) — Rs. 1,50,000, Chief Security Officer and Legal Officer — Rs. 95,000 each, with Medical Insurance

• SC / ST / PwBD / Women candidates: No fee

Selection Process

The selection process differs by post category:

1. Group A & Contract Posts: Selection is through a Personal Interview. If the Institute receives a large number of applications, it may shortlist candidates using a written test.
2. Group B & C Posts (Hindi Officer, Hindi Translator-cum-Typist): Selection has 3 stages — a Written Test (50 marks), a Skill Test (30 marks) and a Personal Interview (20 marks).

Final merit for Group B & C posts is based on the total of 100 marks across all three stages.
