Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released notification (Advt. No. IIMR/HR/Recruitment/2026/967) for 4 non-teaching contract posts in its Corporate Relations Office and Counselling Centre. All four posts are on a 2-year contract (extendable up to 4 years on 1+1 basis), and selection is purely interview-based — there is no written exam. MBA holders with placement/corporate relations experience and Clinical Psychologists with RCI registration can apply.

• Senior Associate (Corporate Relations Office): 1 post (UR) — Rs. 65,000/- gross per month
• Clinical Psychologist: 1 post (UR) — Rs. 65,000/- gross per month

Positions of Pay Level 8 and above are entitled to Group Medical Insurance as per the Institute's policy.

Who Can Apply?

For Corporate Relation Manager (Pay Level 10):

• Qualification: MBA or equivalent with at least 55% marks
• Experience: Minimum 6 years in placement services, career services, B2B sales, business development, or corporate relations

For Assistant Manager (Pay Level 8):

• Qualification: MBA or equivalent with at least 55% marks
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in placement services, career services, B2B sales, business development, or corporate relations

For Senior Associate (Rs. 65,000/-):

• Qualification: Post-Graduation or equivalent with at least 55% marks from a recognised University/Institute
• Experience: 3 years in Placement/Corporate Relations of an educational institution OR 3 years in sales/marketing

For Clinical Psychologist (Rs. 65,000/-):

• Qualification: M.Phil or M.A. in Clinical Psychology from a recognised University/Institute
• Mandatory: Valid current registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) as a Clinical Psychologist
• Candidates with prior counselling experience at Higher Educational Institutions are preferred. You must be fluent in spoken and written English.

Age Limit

• Corporate Relation Manager: Maximum 50 years as on the last date of application
• Assistant Manager: Maximum 50 years as on the last date of application
• Senior Associate: Maximum 45 years as on the last date of application
• Clinical Psychologist: Maximum 50 years as on the last date of application
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen will be as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Corporate Relation Manager: Consolidated salary equivalent to Pay Level 10 (gross, around Rs. 56,100+ per month)
• Assistant Manager: Consolidated salary equivalent to Pay Level 8 (gross, around Rs. 47,600+ per month)
• Senior Associate: Consolidated salary of Rs. 65,000/- per month (gross)
• Clinical Psychologist: Consolidated salary of Rs. 65,000/- per month (gross)
• Pay Level 8 and above posts also get Group Medical Insurance as per Institute policy.
• For retired Central/State Government, CFTI, PSU or Defence Forces officers, the salary will be fixed as per Govt. of India guidelines.

Selection Process

The Institute may conduct a written test, interview, or both — but the standard process is interview-based:

1. Application Scrutiny: All applications are scrutinised and only shortlisted candidates are called.
2. Interview: The selection committee evaluates candidates on previous records and interview performance. The committee may decide its own evaluation method.
3. Document Verification: You must bring original certificates and salary proof for each work experience period at the time of interview.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. Internships and traineeships are not counted as work experience.

• Build and grow relationships with corporate firms to convert them into recruiters of IIM Ranchi students
• Plan and conduct competency development activities for students and manage the corporate relations team
• Liaise with chairpersons, faculty and the student placement committee to execute placement policies
• Provide mental health and psychological counselling services to students and other stakeholders (Clinical Psychologist)
• Handle student discipline and grievance redressal related to placements
• Prepare placement reports, surveys and feedback for internal stakeholders
• Support conclaves, leadership talks and the placement process administratively
