IIIT Bhopal JRF Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhopal is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for SAKSHAM, short for "Scientific Advancements in Knowledge for Sustainability, Healthcare, and Materials". The project is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under its PAIR programme, with IIT Indore as the hub and IIIT Bhopal as the spoke institute.

SAKSHAM has three research themes, and IIIT Bhopal works on two of them: Theme 1, Advanced Materials, and Theme 2, Health and Medical Technologies. This is a project-based fellowship on contract, not a regular institute job. It suits post-graduates in basic sciences, engineering, pharmacy or technology who already know some lab techniques in materials or health technology and want to work on a funded research project.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first appointment runs up to 31 March 2027 and is likely to continue until the project ends.
• Place of work: The project is carried out at IIT Indore together with IIIT Bhopal. Your workplace may change from time to time as the project needs.
• Madhya Pradesh domicile priority: SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PH applicants with a valid Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate get priority if found suitable.
• Entrance exam exemption: If you hold a valid CSIR/UGC NET/SET or GATE/GPAT qualification, you do not have to sit the institute's entrance examination.
• Rolling intake: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; the date shown on this page is the next cutoff for review.
• No travel allowance: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Complete forms only: Incomplete applications are rejected outright.
