The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is the apex national institute under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, working on corporate governance, regulation, and professional training. It has released a vacancy circular for the post of Consultant – Assistant Hostel Warden in its Administration Department at the Manesar campus.
The role is contractual for one year to start with, and the first three months are treated as a review period. This is a full-time residential job — you must stay on the campus 6 days a week and look after the hostel, mess, and related facilities. What You Will Do
As the Assistant Hostel Warden, your main job is to keep the hostel and mess running smoothly. You will supervise hostel and cafeteria operations, make sure residents are safe and disciplined, and solve student problems with patience. You will also oversee the mess — checking that meals are cooked and served on time, and that the kitchen, dining area, and food storage stay clean and hygienic. On top of this, you will coordinate with housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff, keep hostel records updated, and monitor campus horticulture and security.

- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in hostels, institutions, schools, colleges, or similar places.

- Other: Knowledge of hostel rules, safety norms, and basic first aid is expected.

Age Limit

Salary
- You will get a fixed monthly pay of Rs. 40,000 (consolidated).
- No other allowances are paid. However, if you travel outside the headquarters for work, you will get TA/DA as per rules.
- An annual increment is given each time the contract is renewed, as per the institute's increment policy.
- The number of posts or the pay may be increased or decreased later, based on the institute's need.
Job Conditions
- You will sign a contract with IICA and must join immediately after selection.
- The contract runs for one year to begin with and can be extended or ended based on your performance and the institute's need.
- Your first three months are a review period.
- You must attend office on all working days (and on holidays if required) and stay on campus 6 days a week.
- You must maintain the decorum and discipline expected of a Central Government Officer.
- Either side can end the contract by giving two months' notice (or two months' pay in lieu). It can also be ended without notice if your conduct or performance harms the institute's interest.
- You cannot apply for other jobs inside or outside IICA while the contract is running.
