ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Nagpur is hiring 13 administrative posts on a deputation basis at its head office and regional centres in Nagpur, Bangalore, Kolkata, Jorhat and New Delhi. The posts are Assistant (5), Upper Division Clerk (3) and Lower Division Clerk (5). Salary ranges from Pay Level 2 to Pay Level 6 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. ICAR-National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning (ICAR-NBSS&LUP), Nagpur has released notification F. No. 3-154/2026-Admn/E-424010 dated 11 May 2026 for 13 administrative posts on deputation basis. The recruitment is governed by the Group B and C Recruitment Rules notified by ICAR. Preference will be given to officials of the ICAR system, but candidates from Central / State Government, UTs, Autonomous Bodies and PSUs can also apply. There is no written exam.

Who Can Apply?

Assistant (Pay Level 6)

• Officials from ICAR, Central Government, State Government, UTs, Autonomous Bodies or PSUs
• (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in parent cadre / department, OR
• (ii) Having 10 years of regular service in Pay Level 4 (Pre-revised Rs. 25,500 - 81,100 / Pay Band 1 Rs. 5,200 - 20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,400) in parent cadre or department

Upper Division Clerk (Pay Level 4)

• Holding analogous post in similar capacity, OR
• Lower Division Clerks in Pay Band 1 (Rs. 5,200 - 20,200) + Grade Pay Rs. 1,900 with minimum 8 years of regular service in the grade

Lower Division Clerk (Pay Level 2)

• Holding analogous post in similar capacity with 3 years of service in the grade

Preference in deputation will be given to officials of the ICAR System.

Salary

• Assistant: Pay Level 6 — Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month (pre-revised Pay Band Rs. 9,300 - 34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4,200)
• Upper Division Clerk: Pay Level 4 — Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (pre-revised Pay Band Rs. 5,200 - 20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,400)
• Lower Division Clerk: Pay Level 2 — Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month (pre-revised Pay Band Rs. 5,200 - 20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1,900)
• Plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per Government of India deputation rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on the deputation process under the ICAR Recruitment Rules:

1. Screening of Applications: Eligible applications forwarded through the parent department will be screened.
2. Document Verification: APAR records of last 3 to 5 years, vigilance and disciplinary certificates will be verified.
3. Final Selection: Approved by the Director, ICAR-NBSS&LUP.

Preference will be given to officials already working in the ICAR system.

3. Get the application certified by the Head of your Department / Office.
4. Attach: Xerox copies of APARs of last 3 / 5 years (attested), certificate of no disciplinary proceedings, and an undertaking regarding seniority on transfer.
