ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), one of India's premier animal science research institutions, is hiring 3 contractual staff for an ICMR-sponsored project focused on building a national network of high-risk pathogen laboratories (BSL3/4). • Contractual engagement that is co-terminus with the project duration -- this means the position lasts as long as the project runs
• Reporting time is 11:00 AM onwards for both posts -- arrive early to complete registration
• BSL2/BSL3 facility experience is highly desirable -- candidates with this background will have an edge

Selection Process

Selection is through a single-stage walk-in interview conducted by a committee at CADRAD, ICAR-IVRI. You need to carry your CV along with all original documents and self-attested photocopies. The interview panel will assess your qualifications, relevant experience, and suitability for working in high-containment laboratory environments.

Documents You'll Need

• Updated CV/Resume with complete details of education and work experience
• Educational certificates -- all degree certificates, mark sheets, and diplomas (originals plus one set of self-attested photocopies)
• Experience certificates -- proof of post-qualification work experience, especially BSL2/BSL3 facility experience if applicable
• Photo ID proof -- Aadhaar card, PAN card, or any government-issued ID
• Recent passport-size photographs -- carry at least 2-3 copies
• Category certificate -- if claiming reservation benefits under SC/ST/OBC/EWS

• Work on the ICMR-sponsored national BSL3/4 laboratory network project under PM-ABHIM
• Handle highly pathogenic viral pathogens in BSL2 and BSL3 containment facilities
• Perform molecular assays including real-time PCR for pathogen detection
• Conduct research involving recombinant DNA technology and cell culture techniques
• Operate and maintain medical and laboratory equipment in biosafety facilities
• Support outbreak response activities across sectors as part of the national network
• Maintain accurate records, perform data mining, and contribute to project documentation
