HEMRL (High Energy Materials Research Laboratory), DRDO is hiring 50 Graduate Apprentices across 12 engineering and non-engineering disciplines at its Pune, Maharashtra facility. If you hold a B.E./B.Tech, B.Sc, B.A., B.Com, BBA or BLIS degree passed in the last five years (2022-2026), you can apply offline. The last date to apply is 28 August 2026. HEMRL DRDO Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 50 Posts

The High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL), a premier R&D establishment under DRDO, Ministry of Defence, has released Advertisement No. HEMRL/HRD/APPRENTICE/2026-27/01 to engage 50 Graduate Apprentices for one-year training under the Apprentices Act 1961. Twelve disciplines are covered, from Chemical and Mechanical Engineering to Chemistry, Commerce and Library Science. Only candidates who completed their qualifying degree as regular students (not correspondence/distance) between 2022 and 2026 can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• You must be an Indian National.
• You need the relevant degree listed above from a recognized Board/University, completed as a regular candidate (not correspondence/distance education).
• You must have passed your qualifying exam in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 — only the last five years are eligible.
• If your result is not yet declared by the last date, you are not eligible to apply.
• Candidates with a higher qualification than what is listed above are not eligible.
• You should not have completed apprenticeship training earlier, or have one year or more of job experience after your qualifying degree.
• PwBD candidates are eligible only for trades notified under the Apprenticeship Rules 1992.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old. Maximum age and relaxation follow the Apprentices Act 1961, Apprentice Rules 1992 and NATS 2.0 Guidelines.

Salary

• Selected apprentices get a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 during the one-year training period.

Selection Process

Selection depends on the vacancies available in each category and discipline:

1. Shortlisting: Based on academic merit, written test, interview, walk-in interview, or a combination — HEMRL decides the method for each discipline.
2. Document Verification: Your certificates and marks are checked before final selection.

Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a call — HEMRL is not obliged to shortlist every eligible applicant.
