Salary
- E-4 Senior Manager: Scale of pay Rs. 70,000 – 2,00,000 (IDA). Monthly gross salary: Rs. 1,30,760. Approx CTC: Mining Rs. 24.64 – 68.74 lakhs; Non-Mining Rs. 23.23 – 64.37 lakhs.
- E-3 Manager: Scale of pay Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000 (IDA). Monthly gross: Rs. 1,12,080. Approx CTC: Mining Rs. 21.20 – 61.90 lakhs; Non-Mining Rs. 20.11 – 57.98 lakhs.
- E-2 Deputy Manager: Scale of pay Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000 (IDA). Monthly gross: Rs. 93,400. Approx CTC: Mining Rs. 17.76 – 55.07 lakhs; Non-Mining Rs. 16.85 – 51.58 lakhs.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is based on:
- Personal Interview (100% weightage) — final selection decided purely on PI performance.
- Zone of Consideration: 1:5 ratio (5 candidates per vacancy). If only 1 vacancy in a discipline, 10 candidates shortlisted.
- Shortlisting Criteria (if applications exceed zone of consideration):
- 1 mark for every completed year of relevant experience beyond the minimum requirement
- 1 mark per additional higher qualification (max 2 marks) over the minimum, in the same discipline
- Tie-breaker: higher company turnover ranks higher
- Medical Fitness — appointment is subject to being found medically fit by HCL Medical Authority.
- Document Verification — original documents verified at the time of interview; non-production debars candidate.
Service Agreement Bond: Selected candidates must serve HCL for a minimum of 3 years and execute a bond of Rs. 3 lakhs at the time of joining.

Responsibilities
- Lead operations and engineering functions in the assigned discipline (Mining, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.) at HCL units
- Manage production, processing or maintenance schedules at copper mines and plants
- Supervise junior executives, supervisors and contractor workforce on technical and administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with statutory mining, safety, environment and labour regulations
- Prepare technical reports, financial statements, audit responses and management updates as per the cadre
- Drive cost optimisation, productivity improvement and project execution in line with HCL's strategic plan
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, government agencies and consultants for project delivery
- Support digital, IT and welfare initiatives within the company as per the assigned function
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's / Master's / Professional degree in the relevant discipline (B.E./B.Tech, PG in Geology, CA/ICWA, MBBS+PG, etc.)
Preferred Qualification
Additional higher qualification in the same discipline; First Class Mine Manager's Certificate (for Mining)
