Gurugram University Sports Officer Recruitment 2026: Overview

Gurugram University (GUG), a state university set up under Haryana Act 17 of 2017 at Sector 51, Gurugram, wants a Sports Officer/Assistant Director Sports on deputation. This is not an open recruitment for freshers. Only people already working on a regular basis in a Central or State university or a government organisation can apply, and they must already hold the same or an equivalent post in the same pay level.

The engagement follows the standard deputation terms of the Haryana Government and the university. The university will decide how many posts to fill based on how suitable the applicants turn out to be, so the notice does not fix a number.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Deputation is temporary for one year, or until the post is filled on a regular basis, whichever comes first.
• Repatriation: The university can send you back to your parent department at any stage without giving a reason.
• Reservation: The Haryana Government reservation policy in force at the time applies.
• Shortlisting: The university may hold a test to shortlist candidates for scrutiny or interview.
• Eligibility cut-off: Qualifications and eligibility are judged as on the last date to apply.
• No travel allowance: TA/DA is not paid for any test, scrutiny or interview.
• False information: Wrong details found at any stage lead to cancellation and possible criminal prosecution.

Application Submission Notes

Fill the deputation application form attached to the advertisement and send it with self-attested copies of your documents to establishment@gurugramuniversity.ac.in. The application must come through proper channel, so your employer or head of office has to forward it.

The forwarding authority must certify that no vigilance case, departmental proceeding or court case is pending against you, that your integrity is beyond doubt, and that no major or minor penalty was imposed in the last 10 years. Your attested ACRs for the last 10 years (or the years available) must go with it. Any addendum or corrigendum will appear only on the university website.
