Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) is a Premier Schedule-A Miniratna Category-I Defence Shipyard under the Ministry of Defence. GRSE builds sophisticated warships and contributes to India's defence preparedness. Through this notification, GRSE is looking for experienced professionals at senior management levels across technical and administrative roles. Selection will be through interview only — there is no written exam. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned engineers and management professionals with 11 to 26 years of experience in shipbuilding, defence, or related industries.

Who Can Apply?

For Executive Director (E-9) - Technical:

• Qualification: Four-year full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Marine Engineering, Civil, Production, or Naval Architecture
• Experience: Minimum 26 years of post-qualification experience in Ship building, Ship design, Ship repair, overseeing construction or repair of Naval Ships, Submarines, or Commercial Vessels, Product Design, Production Planning, or Project Management

For General Manager (E-7) - Technical-Commercial (OBC Backlog):

• Qualification: Four-year full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Marine Engineering, Civil, Production, or Naval Architecture OR Full-time Graduate with MBA/PG Degree/PG Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or Operations Management
• Experience: Minimum 22 years of post-qualification experience in Material Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Ship building, Ship design, Ship repair, or related fields

For General Manager (E-7) - Technical (SC):

• Qualification: Four-year full-time B.E./B.Tech in any engineering discipline
• Experience: Minimum 22 years of post-qualification experience in Ship building, Ship design, Ship Repair, Technical Services, Project Management, IT System Integration, or implementation of new technologies and automation

For Additional General Manager (E-6) - Technical:

• Qualification: Four-year full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Marine Engineering, Civil, Production, or Naval Architecture
• Experience: Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in Ship building, Ship design, Ship repair, construction or repair of Naval Ships, Submarines, Commercial Vessels, or Product Design and Production Planning

For Senior Manager (E-4) - Admin:

• Qualification: Full-time Graduate in any discipline
• Desirable: MBA/PG Degree/PG Diploma in any Management discipline
• Experience: Minimum 11 years of post-qualification experience in General Administration, Corporate Event Management, Operation of Guest House, Hotels, Canteen, or Cafeteria in any Government, PSU, or Private establishment

All qualifications must be full-time from AICTE/UGC/Government of India recognized institutions. Part-time or correspondence courses are not accepted.

Age Limit

• Executive Director (E-9): Maximum 56 years as on 01 March 2026
• General Manager (E-7): Maximum 52 years as on 01 March 2026
• Additional General Manager (E-6): Maximum 50 years as on 01 March 2026
• Senior Manager (E-4): Maximum 45 years as on 01 March 2026
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates get age relaxation as per Government rules
• Age relaxation may also be granted based on excess years of relevant experience beyond the minimum required
• After all relaxations, maximum age cannot exceed 57 years (external) and 58 years (internal candidates)

Salary

• Executive Director (E-9): Rs. 1,50,000 - 3,00,000 per month (IDA). Approximate CTC: Rs. 49.5 Lakhs per annum
• General Manager (E-7): Rs. 1,00,000 - 2,60,000 per month (IDA). Approximate CTC: Rs. 33.0 Lakhs per annum
• Additional General Manager (E-6): Rs. 90,000 - 2,40,000 per month (IDA). Approximate CTC: Rs. 29.7 Lakhs per annum
• Senior Manager (E-4): Rs. 70,000 - 2,00,000 per month (IDA). Approximate CTC: Rs. 23.1 Lakhs per annum
• In addition to basic pay, you will get Industrial DA, HRA, other perks (35% of basic pay), CPF, Gratuity, Post-Retirement benefits
• Performance Related Pay and Hospitalization benefit are also applicable

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection for all posts will be done through interview only:

1. Interview: Candidates will be called for a personal interview. The interview may be conducted through online or video conferencing mode. Outstation candidates called physically will be reimbursed travel fare.
2. Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to medical fitness as per GRSE Recruitment Rules.
3. Document Verification: All original documents will be verified at the time of interview or joining.

Option of Hindi medium will be available during the interview.

• Oversee shipbuilding, ship design, and ship repair operations at the assigned unit or project location
• Plan and manage production schedules, procurement, and supply chain activities for defence and commercial vessel projects
• Lead cross-functional technical teams in executing warship and naval vessel construction programs
• Handle administrative functions including guest house operations, corporate events, and facility management (Admin posts)
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Defence, Indian Navy, and other stakeholders on project deliverables and timelines
• Monitor quality assurance standards and ensure compliance with defence production specifications
• Manage budgets, cost estimation, and resource allocation for assigned projects
• Represent GRSE in meetings, reviews, and conferences with government and industry bodies
