Openings are spread across 11 Arts and Humanities subjects. There is no written exam — selection is done directly through a walk-in interview. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a Master's (Post Graduate) degree in the concerned subject from a recognised university, with the minimum marks required under UGC norms (generally 55%).
• Preferred: Candidates who have qualified NET / SLET / SET or hold a Ph.D. in the subject are given preference during selection.
• Library & Information Science: You need a Master's degree in Library & Information Science with the required percentage of marks.

Salary

• Guest Faculties are paid on a per-class basis as per Odisha Government (HIMS) norms.
• For government degree colleges, the rate is commonly around Rs. 400 per class, subject to a monthly ceiling of about Rs. 20,000 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in two simple steps:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview at Government (Degree) College, Balangir on your subject's scheduled date. The reporting window is 8.00 A.M. to 9.00 A.M.
2. Document Verification: Your original certificates and mark sheets are checked at the venue before selection.

The final merit list is prepared as per UGC norms and Odisha Higher Education Department guidelines.
