Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida — an autonomous institute under the Government of Uttar Pradesh — released Advertisement No. GIMS/2025/Manpower-02/13 on 23 August 2025 for the recruitment of 25 faculty posts in the College of Nursing on a regular basis. Posts span five designations, from Nursing Tutor to Principal cum Professor. Registered nurses with B.Sc Nursing and one year of teaching experience can apply for Tutor posts, while senior faculty with M.Sc Nursing and extensive experience are eligible for Professor-level posts.

• Experience: At least 1 year of teaching experience

For Assistant Professor

• Qualification: M.Sc Nursing from a recognised university
• Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience
• Preferred: Ph.D in Nursing is desirable

For Associate Professor

• Qualification: M.Sc Nursing from a recognised university
• Experience: At least 8 years of teaching experience
• Preferred: Ph.D in Nursing is desirable

For Vice Principal cum Professor

• Qualification: M.Sc Nursing from a recognised university
• Experience: At least 12 years of teaching experience
• Preferred: Ph.D in Nursing is desirable

For Principal cum Professor

• Qualification: M.Sc Nursing from a recognised university
• Experience: At least 15 years of teaching experience
• Preferred: Ph.D in Nursing is desirable

A valid registration certificate with the State Nursing Council is mandatory for all posts.

Age Limit

• Nursing Tutor: Maximum age 40 years
• Professor-level posts (Associate Professor and above): Maximum age 50 years
• Age relaxation for reserved category candidates is applicable as per UP Government norms.

Salary

• Principal cum Professor & Vice Principal cum Professor: Pay Level 13A — Rs. 1,31,100 to Rs. 2,16,600 per month
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 12 — Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month
• Assistant Professor: Pay Level 11 — Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month
• Nursing Tutor: Pay Level 8 — Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month
• Plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per UP Government norms

Selection Process

Selection is done in 2 stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): Online examination scheduled on 27 April 2026 (Monday). Exam centre details are mentioned in the e-admit card.
2. Interview: Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for interview.
